Minutes of the 23rd Meeting of the 78th Year
Welcome: President Julia Coale called the meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. and welcomed all members (99 attended) to the new Zoom platform, which The Old Guard will be using for its meetings for the remainder of this program year and perhaps in the fall.
She acknowledged and thanked the initiative and leadership of Vice President Stephen Schreiber, Program Committee Chair John Cotton, Communications Chair Sandra Shapiro, and Membership Committee Chair Greg Dobbs in designing and preparing for The Old Guard meetings on Zoom.
President Coale announced that the Annual Meeting of The Old Guard membership for the purpose of electing officers and committee chairs for the program year 2020-2021 will be held at its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday May 6, 2020, at 10:15 a.m.
Vice President Schreiber described the Zoom meeting process and the technical assistance available to members and how questions and answers will be available after a speaker.
Program Committee Chair John Cotton announced the program speakers for the remainder of this program year.
Nominating Committee Chair Henry Von Kohorn presented the slate of nominees for the offices and committee chairs for the program year of 2020-2021, and asked for nominations from the floor, of which there were none.
Membership Chairman Greg Dobbs announced the new members proposed for election to membership at The Old Guard meeting of May 6, 2020.
Vice President Schreiber introduced the video presentation by Princeton Art Museum Curator of American Art Karl Kusserow on Nassau Hall.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
